Project Engineer - Expatriate Project

The Project Engineer (Operations – Technical Office) is responsible for defining production plants machinery and equipment and their properties (mechanical, electrical, hydraulical, etc.), their assembly and efficiency. The Technical Operations Engineer also deals with the selection of qualified suppliers for these installations giving support to the purchasing department. The person must be available for relocation in United States, after about one and half year of training in the headquarters.

 

Main activities:

  • Collaborates with Operations and R&D Departments for new equipment requests
  • Defines the equipment and machinery characteristics of the production plants with the cooperation of the R&D department
  • Deals with the various suppliers and makes technical analysis of proposals received
  • Collaborates with Operational Excellence and Maintenance functions to improve existing equipment performance
  • Manages new machinery and equipment implementation projects and monitors the progress of supplier deliveries
  • Analyzes the proposals received by the suppliers and makes evaluations with the purchasing office

Requirements of the position:

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering; or bachelor’s degree and some year of experience
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering (preferred)
  • Excellent English and Italian language, both written and speaking
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Interest in plastics industry
  • Project Management skills (preferred)
