Water contact: WRAS Certifications
Some compounds produced by Sirmax are approved for water contact according to the WRAS scheme. The certificates and WRAS approval numbers of the following list can be downloaded at
UL Yellow Cards
A wide range of compounds produced by Sirmax is UL listed.
Access to file E220931 in UL Prospector (https://iq.ulprospector.com) under the Materials/Plastic section to view the yellow cards.
REACH Declaration
REACH Regulation created the candidate list of SVHC, the Substances of Very High Concern, for which there are obligations of communication. This list is updated twice a year by ECHA, the European Chemicals Agency. It is possible to download our statement related to these substances.
Conflict Minerals Declaration
Starting from 2021, EU-based importers of certain minerals and metals will have to comply with new supply chain due diligence obligations that will become mandatory under EU Regulation 2017/821 of 17 May 2017 (the Conflict Minerals Regulation). Similar provisions were already imposed under the US Dodd Frank Act.
Phthalates Declaration
Phthalates are a family of chemical compounds primarily used as plasticizers for plastics. Some of them may pose risks for human health. Such substances are not used in our production processes.
PFOA/PFOS Declaration
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large family of synthetic chemicals that are widely used throughout society and found in the environment. These fluorinated substances resist degradation when used and may accumulate in the environment, posing health risks.
Bisphenol A - BPA Declaration
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical mostly used in manufacturing of plastics, in resins and in thermal paper. Bisphenol A is classified in the EU as a substance of very high concern because of the toxic effects on human ability to reproduce. For this reason there are several restriction to the use and presence of BPA.
Volatile organic compounds – OCOV Declaration
Since 1998 the Swiss Federal Council introduced a customs taxation related to the quantities of volatile organic compounds.
