New innovative bioplastics
for the agricultural sector

Technical expertise and cross-sector application are the characteristics that best distinguish our extensive product portfolio. Continuous investment in Research and Development has led to new results in the bioplastics sector.

Mulching films made from Sirmax's biodegradable and compostable BioComp^®plastics have performed well in the agricultural sector and have been certified thanks to collaboration with the University of Turin. The purpose of this application is to prevent weeds from growing by eliminating the dispersion of microplastics in the soil.

These results open up the possibility of complete biodegradation of the material over time without any negative effects on the soil.
