Buyer
The Buyer supports the Category Manager in the management of the raw materials procurement process, in coordination with the other company functions. The purpose of the position is to guarantee the availability of raw materials to the production plants in compliance with the required deadlines, in order to give continuity to the production process.
Main activities:
- Activities related to purchasing planning: scouting, commercial negotiation, continuous improvement of purchasing conditions.
- Activities related to research new potential suppliers, worldwide.
- Operational activities related to purchasing functions and the correct management and maintenance of data in the company management system. Preparation of reports and presentation of data to relevant business functions.
- Daily analysis of requirements expressed by RDAs ("purchase requisitions") released by related managers.
- Transformation of RDAs into ODA ("purchase orders") and sending them to suppliers.
- Request, receipt, and management of order confirmations.
- Management of reports and reminders to suppliers.
Requirements of the position:
- Master’s degree in management engineering, Business Administration, Statistics or Supply Chain Management;
- 0-3 years of experience;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, in particularly Excel;
- Knowledge of SAP (preferred);
- Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken);
- Residence or domicile in the territory.
